“Knowledge commons” are information, data, and content collectively owned and managed by a community of users, particularly in the form of a digital resource. We are experiencing a growing awareness of the global ecological crisis in Barcelona region and an expanding circle of actors who dedicate their time and resources to the transformative mission (transition movement). Thousands of community-led initiatives are serving with good examples and best practices of creating, managing and developing ecological and resilient communities.
However, even if the knowledge is shared, it can often be challenging to find what we are looking for (information, tools, events, experts or communities) and engage in joint local actions. Our knowledge commons aims to keep knowledge by, for and about ecological community-led initiatives in one place to create a comprehensive resource for researchers, practitioners, teachers, students and others. Enjoy exploring!
